Anjediva Fort

Fort Anjediva, built on the Anjadip Island, off the coast of the Indian state of Karnataka but under the administrative jurisdiction of the Indian state of Goa, was once under Portuguese rule. It has also in its vicinity an ancient church on the island called the Church of Our Lady of Springs built in 1505. The Chapel of St Francis D’Assissi is also located here but it is in ruins. Though the fort has a rich history linked to Portuguese rule, it is also presently in ruins.

Mormugao Fort

Mormugao Fort was build in 1624, was considered as one of the major costal forts in Goa. The fort is located to the north of Vasco Da Gama town and just south of Murmogao Port. The Mormugao Fort covered a total region of six miles in circumference, contained towering bulwarks, three magazines, five prisons, a chapel and quarters for the guard.

Alorna Fort

Located at a distance of 31 kms from the capital city of Goa, Panaji, the Alorna fort is on the banks of the Chapora river. Dated back to the 17th century, this Alorna Fort is said to be built by Bhansales of Sawantwadi. The fort is built with high defense mechanisms and to withstand the invasions by the Marathas from the north.

Kakolem Beach

Kakolem beach is a tiny beach cove situated to the south of Cabo de Rama beach. It is one of the most secluded yet one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa. The beach is located at a distance of 31 kms. from the city of Margao. There is a small path off the main road leads down to the beach. The beach has a small freshwater spring that splashes down the hillside to the beach. Kakolem Beach is a knee-high to a duck beach, which has spread its expanse in a Bay.

Dona Paula Beach

Dona Paula is a former village, and tourist destination, in the suburbs of Panaji, Goa, India. It is today home to the National Institute of Oceanography, and just alongside it lie the Goa University and the International Centre Goa. It is also home to a number of hotels, small and large, and the luxury Cidade de Goa is situated in the area.

Velsao Beach

The Velsao beach lies on the southern coast of Goa and is one of the most vivacious tourist destinations in the beach capital of India. This small stretch of sandy beach is easily accessible as it lies in between Bogmalo beach on the north and the Majorda and the Colva Beach on the south.
